Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all services, purchases, and interactions with A.C.N. 676 748 959 PTY LTD trading as “Skin Ethos” (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing our website, booking an appointment, or purchasing products or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms should be read in conjunction with our related policies, including our Privacy Policy, Cancellation Policy, Returns Policy, Shipping Policy, Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions, and Buy Now Pay Later Information.


1. General

Skin Ethos provides professional skin and aesthetic treatments and sells skincare products through our clinic and website. We may update our services, pricing, or terms at any time without prior notice. The most current version of these Terms will always be available on our website.


2. Services and Treatments

Skin Ethos offers a range of professional skin and cosmetic treatments. Additional services may be introduced or modified at any time to ensure the highest standard of care.

Consultations & Redeemable Fees

Skin Ethos offers both in-clinic and online consultations to assist clients in determining the most suitable treatments and skincare products. A consultation fee is payable at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

The cost of a consultation may be redeemed toward eligible Skin Ethos treatments or retail product purchases within one (1) month of the consultation date. Redemption applies only to the person who attended the consultation and cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, or extended beyond the stated validity period.

The consultation fee is refundable if cancelled more than 36 hours prior to the appointment time. If cancelled within 36 hours or the client fails to attend, the consultation fee will be forfeited and a new consultation booking will be required.

If a consultation is provided complimentary or as part of a promotion, it is not redeemable unless otherwise specified at the time of booking. Skin Ethos reserves the right to amend redemption terms periodically. The most current version of these conditions will always be available in these Terms & Conditions.

Client Forms & Consent

New clients are required to complete a digital intake form via Phorest prior to treatment and to update this annually. A treatment-specific consent form must be completed before each visit. Where applicable, pre- and post-treatment photographs may be taken for clinical documentation as outlined in our Privacy Policy. If marketing consent is provided, identifiable images may be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Time of Payment

All service fees are due at the time of the procedure unless otherwise stated. Deposits paid at the time of booking will be applied toward the total cost of the treatment.


3. Bookings and Deposits

All appointments are booked through our secure online booking system and require a deposit to confirm. Deposits are credited toward your treatment cost and are refundable in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.

If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled within 36 hours of the scheduled time, the deposit will be forfeited. Late arrivals or no-shows may also result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit. Clients with repeated missed appointments may be required to prepay future bookings in full.

Clients may also choose to prepay in full for a treatment. In such cases, if the appointment is cancelled within 36 hours or missed, the deposit portion will be forfeited and the remaining balance may be credited or refunded at Skin Ethos’ discretion.

Late Arrivals

We understand that unexpected delays can occur. However, to ensure fairness to all clients, appointments are scheduled to allow adequate time for each treatment. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to avoid impacting the next client’s booking, and the full treatment fee will still apply.

If your late arrival means the appointment can no longer be accommodated, your deposit will be forfeited. In cases where no other client is booked immediately after your session, service completion will be at the clinician’s discretion. Repeated late arrivals may require prepayment of future bookings.

In the event Skin Ethos is running behind schedule, you will be offered the full service time or provided with an alternative arrangement to ensure the quality of your treatment is not compromised.


4. Payments

We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards, direct transfers, and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) through Afterpay. All transactions are processed securely via third-party payment platforms.

A small transaction surcharge may apply for card or BNPL payments where charged by the payment processor. These fees are disclosed at the time of payment and reflect external processing costs.

Phorest System

Our online booking and payment system is powered by Phorest. By making a booking or purchase through our Phorest platform, you also agree to Phorest’s terms of use and privacy policy available at www.phorest.com/privacy-policy. All transactions, however, are made directly with Skin Ethos.

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) Services

Afterpay allows you to receive services or products immediately and pay over instalments managed directly by Afterpay. Eligibility, instalment schedules, and fees are determined by Afterpay’s terms and conditions. Skin Ethos has no control over these terms or any late fees incurred. Use of Afterpay constitutes acceptance of Afterpay’s terms and privacy policy. For more details, please refer to our Buy Now, Pay Later Information page.


5. Pricing and Promotions

All prices are listed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Prices and promotional offers are subject to change without notice. Promotions cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts or offers unless expressly stated.


6. Refunds and Returns

Refunds for services are not provided once treatment has been rendered. Product returns or exchanges are accepted only for faulty, damaged, or incorrectly supplied items in accordance with our Returns Policy. Consultation fees are non-refundable if cancelled within 36 hours of the appointment.


7. Shipping and Delivery

Products purchased online will be processed and delivered as outlined in our Shipping Policy. Skin Ethos is not liable for delays or damage once goods are handed to postal or courier services.


8. Cancellations and Rescheduling

Appointment cancellations and reschedules must adhere to the notice periods and conditions outlined in our Cancellation Policy. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in forfeiture of deposits or prepaid sessions.


9. Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 36 months (3 years) from the date of issue and can be used for eligible services or retail products. Vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Full terms are detailed in our Gift Voucher Terms & Conditions.


10. Website and Content Disclaimer

The information and materials provided on the Skin Ethos website are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute professional or medical advice. All treatments and products should only be undertaken following consultation with a qualified practitioner. Individual results vary, and no guarantees are made regarding suitability, effectiveness, or outcomes.

While Skin Ethos endeavours to ensure that all website content is accurate and current, we make no representations or warranties about its completeness or reliability. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from reliance on, or use of, the content, links, or information contained on our website.

The website may contain links to third-party websites or resources for convenience. Skin Ethos does not endorse or assume responsibility for any external content or linked materials. Testimonials, images, and before-and-after photos are illustrative only and do not guarantee identical results.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skin Ethos disclaims all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss resulting from your use of the website or services accessed through it.

12. Enquiries and Contact Forms

When you submit an enquiry, booking request, or contact form through our website, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your personal information (such as name, email, and contact details) will be collected and processed for the purpose of responding to your enquiry or booking request, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • By selecting the “I agree to the Terms & Conditions” checkbox, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms.
  • You consent to being contacted by Skin Ethos via the details provided for purposes related to your enquiry, appointment, or ongoing care.
  • If you choose to subscribe or consent to marketing communications, you may receive promotional updates via email or SMS. You may opt out of these at any time.

Your information will not be sold or shared for unrelated marketing purposes. All data is handled in compliance with Australian privacy and spam legislation.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in that state.
