Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation Policy outlines the terms under which appointments may be cancelled, rescheduled, or forfeited at Skin Ethos (A.C.N. 676 748 959 Pty Ltd).


1. Notice Period

We require a minimum of 36 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellations or changes made within this period may result in the forfeiture of your deposit.


2. Consultation Fees, Deposits, and Prepayments

All consultations are payable in full at the time of booking. The consultation fee of $50 is refundable if cancelled more than 36 hours prior to the appointment time. If you reschedule within 36 hours, or fail to attend, the consultation fee will be forfeited and a new consultation booking will be required.

All other appointments require a deposit to confirm your booking. Deposits vary by treatment type and are applied toward your treatment fee.

If you cancel or reschedule more than 36 hours before your appointment, your deposit will remain as a credit or may be refunded upon request. Cancellations or reschedules within 36 hours will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Clients may choose to pay for their treatment in full prior to their appointment. In such cases, if the appointment is cancelled within 36 hours or missed, the deposit portion will be forfeited and the remaining balance may be credited or refunded at Skin Ethos’ discretion.

For prepaid treatment courses or packages, each session is subject to the same cancellation and no-show conditions as individual appointments. If a client fails to attend a scheduled session without the required 36 hours’ notice, that session will be forfeited and deducted from the remaining course balance.

3. No-Shows

A “no-show” occurs when a client does not attend their scheduled appointment without prior notice. In the event of a no-show for a prepaid service, the deposit portion will be forfeited and the remaining balance may be credited or refunded at Skin Ethos’ discretion.

Clients who repeatedly fail to attend appointments may be required to make full payment at the time of booking for any future services. This condition may be applied at Skin Ethos’ discretion.

For clients on prepaid treatment courses or packages, a missed session without the required 36 hours’ notice will be treated as a forfeited session in accordance with our cancellation terms.

4. Late Arrivals

Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time to avoid impacting subsequent bookings. If your lateness prevents your treatment from being completed, your deposit will be forfeited. Where scheduling allows, treatment completion will be at the clinician’s discretion.


5. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unforeseen events may arise. In cases of illness, emergency, or unavoidable circumstances, Skin Ethos may, at its sole discretion, offer a partial credit, reschedule, or waive the forfeiture. Proof of circumstance may be requested.


6. How to Cancel or Reschedule

Cancellations and rescheduling requests can be made through your Phorest account, by phone, SMS, or email. Requests are confirmed only once acknowledged by a Skin Ethos team member.
